ppphhheeewww...i thought i lost my lame blog site...thank goodness, mr tech whiz - josh wong fixed it for me...anyhoos, i just got back from a show in the space museum, it was a fun show...i'm just kinda bummed that i missed the micah 68 reunion show tonight...i can't deny my grunge rock roots...

on a sadder note, my brother got randomly attacked and almost got mugged last night while walking home late from the park down by our flat...he said some guy just started throwing punches at him from his back, when jetro finally got the chance to hit a good one on him, the perp started running away...my brother the meat head then started running after him (sheesh), 10 feet off the chase, he realised that the attacker had friends just waiting by to attack, so he ended up running away from them...when he finally got to the nearest 7-11, he dialed the cops...man, and i thought hongkong was a safe place...that kind of thing just scares me now from going home late and saving my money from not taking the cab...

on a lighter note, the new whence he came ver. 03 site is finally up and running...yes, go there....

audio :: denison marrs - then is the new now

so we had a show tonight at queens disco, blahhh, another show i didn't enjoy...it was some kind of private party or just a show that collaborated djs and bands...not a good collaboration, this one...the organisers were so pathetic and they didn't even promoted the show well and so we got a whole crowd full of snobby ravers, the management and security for the venue were full of such "ricks" with a silent "p" and don't even get me started with the crappy sound we got tonight. ha...

tonight was also "thirst", a worship night or an excuse for 180 and sna, both youth groups from my church, to get-together and hang out...i was there for the beginning but alas i had to leave for a lame soundcheck for a lame show we played at a lame venue...on a good note, i was glad to see one of my best friend back in hk, ryan coyle, even just for a very short stint...he was even nice enough to bring me back denison marrs - then is the new now and further seems forever - how to start a fire...coolness...need to sleep, church tomolo...

audio :: wilco - yankee hotel foxtrot

i found these questionaires on the lowercase zine site...

1. Where's your favourite make-out spot in Hong Kong?
gosh, way the go to start a questionaire...hhmm, well, it's been awhile, but i used to take my girlfriend to hk park when i was in high school if i wanna score some. ha..

2. If you could change the waterfront however you wanted, what would you do?
it'd be cool to see a bridge that connects kowloon and the island, i don't really think that's ever gonna happen though

3. Do you like the new airport Chek Lap Kok more than the old Kai Tak airport? Why?
yes, i do...simply because it's beautiful, high tech and close to where i live

4. Does good Feng Shui help you?
nope, fung shui doesn't help at all

5. What's Hong Kong's best restaurant?
taco loco, tsui wah and cc lok are my top three

6. What's HK's best street and why?
nathan road, cos i say so...

7. What are the 3 best/worst things about Hong Kong?
(+) midnight mini buses, low crime rate, diversity in culture

(-) terrible customer service everywhere, materialistic mind set, pathetic music industry

8. If you could change the HK skyline, what would you do?
build taller buildings in kowloon...it's always the island that looks better, sheesh...

9. Is there anyway to improve the Hong Kong public transport system, and if so how? (besides making it even cheaper)
cheaper taxi rate after midnight, railways should expand to more rural places, build tramways in kowloon side...

10. Describe your idea for a Hong Kong mascot.
someone who's not cutesy, we've had enough of those...someone oriental, preferable who does kung fu cos that's how the whole world generalises us. ha..i am not making sense huh?*

for someone who just had 3 hour sleep last night, i'm pretty energetic right now...actually, all i've been doing for most of the day has just been net-surfing at work...obviously i'm not really wasting any energy, mostly just time...anyways, the weekend has been fun so far...i went to a house warming/excuse to party last friday with my friends...the party was good, nice people, good vibes...we even got a to play movie charades, a usual ritual that takes place to almost every party i go to with friends...the best part was when this guy called mark acted out the movie "chicago", acting out the words:shit, car, go...oh gosh, the hilarity...well it was definitely funny at the time, if you don't get it by now...anyways, saturday, as usual, 180...this morning i had to miss half of church cos i had to actually show up to work at 12, expecting a client that never showed up in the end...jerks...wasted 3 hours here while i could've done other fun stuff, oh well...tonight, another party to attend - it's stephane's b-day tonight at chicago blues bar and uncle joe will be playing tonight at the same place...the coincidence.ha...it's gonna be fun...i lurve weekends...

audio :: john mayer - room for squares

i sold out for one night and went back to my jock-ness, meaning i played basketball again for the first time in months last night and now i'm paying the price of a grueling muscle pain that is all over my flabs, err, i mean muscles...yeah...

anyways, how you guys enjoying chinese new year?...it was weird for the first few days having almost every shops closed all over hk...i went out to do groceries last monday and it felt like it was 6am during the afternoon, everything was closed and the streets were empty and no signs of life in the neighbourhood...for a non-chinese kid like me, this time of the year is such a bore...while all my friends are having fun doing some dosh collection and family stuff, i'm stuck with my parents and the only lai see i've got so far excedeed only to 300 dollars all in all...pathetic, can't say that i really tried...and most of it actually came from anonymous people from josh's family when i came over one time to drop off something...enough complaints, tonight is a weekend...we shall parteeeeee...
